Brittany Willis

Brittany joined Watkins Media after graduating from University of Exeter in 2020 and quickly rose through the editorial ranks. When we decided to start a children’s imprint, Brittany was the first to raise her hand and volunteer to contribute to our new amazing list. If Laura is the brain behind Moon + Bird, Brittany is the circulatory and respiratory system that keeps the entire imprint moving! She is also Jasper’s Mum (see Jasper’s bio) and if she is not answering her emails, she’s probably cuddling him, walking him or feeding him. 

Brittany is currently open to submissions for picturebooks, chapter books, and younger middle grade in the following topics: taking an original approach to mental health and neurodivergence conversations; encouraging children to form beautiful connections with nature; folklore (especially stories not told in Western collections); using fairy tale characters to tell important socio-emotional stories; anything with a magical witchy touch.
