Cait Brennan is an award-winning illustrator and writer from Charleston, SC, a coastal town in the American South. Much of her inspiration comes from growing up around great Southern storytellers, who valued nature, food, family, and humour. From an early age, Cait discovered that drawing was a great way to bring smiles—even laughter—to those around her. As a total ham, that was very appealing. Her motivations haven’t changed much, and she loves celebrating joyful moments, big or small, in her work.
Her artwork has appeared in books, newspapers, magazines, murals, apps, apparel, including Disney, Walmart, and The Washington Post. Her previous books include Tic-eriffic Me!, A Good Day for A Hike, Hiking Activity Book for Kids and Adventure Girls. Cait particularly enjoys projects that allow her to delve into her own childhood memories, exploring what it felt like to be a kid. When she’s not on a deadline, you can find Cait scribbling away in her sketchbook, trying to get a laugh, or making a big mess in the kitchen.
